HENCE WINS GLOBAL INNOVATION CHAMPIONSHIP OF ZURICH INSURANCE
Today, Hence Technologies was announced as a winner of Zurich Insurance‘s Global Innovation Championship. Out of 3,500 applications, Hence joins 12 other winners in applying cutting-edge technology to pushing the insurance industry forward.
In particular, Hence is focused on how enterprises select and work with lawyers at scale. This is a massive challenge in the insurance industry where legal cost inflation and social inflation are on the rise.
Hence’s championship-winning proposition seeks to develop an automatic lawyer assignment system for Zurich claims, which can enable Zurich to match the right lawyer to every claim requiring one. To do so, Hence will integrate enterprise-scale data to find the lawyers that are most likely to deliver the best value balance between performance and cost. Through our joint initiative, Zurich could further underscore its position at the forefront of claims innovation.
While Hence’s Palantir Technologies-powered platform is unique, so is our approach to talent and building technology. Hence has chosen to build its core engineering and data teams in Kigali, Rwanda, in part to underscore the fact that great global technology can be built anywhere there are smart people.
